Western Trade Coast Industry Series: Industrial Symbiosis
Event by Regional Development Australia Perth
Date: May 27, 2021
Time: 15:00 – 17:30 pm AWST
Reducing the output of greenhouse gas emissions is one of the most critical responses to reduce climate variations. It plays a critical role in implementing the carbon and climate commitments. Direct and indirect emission reductions are equally important.
Regional Development Australia Perth, Kwinana Industries Council, Henderson Alliance, LiV, Murdoch University and Dassault Systemes and guest speakers Colleen Yates (RDA Perth, Lithium Valley Inc., and Henderson Alliance), Chris Oughton (KIC), Martin Anda & Biji Kurup (Murdoch) and Robert Kit Ong (Dassault Systemes) discuss industrial symbiosis modelling and how it can be applied to the challenges of emissions monitoring & reduction and local content tracking. During the interactive sessions, the presenters will outline the new model of Industrial Symbiosis (IS), under development by the KIC, comprising of four dimensions that collectively interact to optimise an industrial estate.
The speakers will also explain and demonstrate how application of systems engineering modelling techniques and technologies can bring together strategic planning, tactical operational data and physics based simulations to improve collaboration and decision making across industrial ecosystems.
